Gamecocks Move Up to No. 13 in United Soccer Coaches Ranking

COLUMBIA, S.C. – Following two wins over Boston College and UMass Lowell, the previously ranked No. 15 South Carolina Gamecocks move into the No. 13 spot in the United Soccer Coaches Rankings at the conclusion of week two, as announced on Tuesday.

South Carolina enters the week with a 3-0-1 record after picking up two wins on the road in New England. The Gamecocks put up five total goals over the weekend, with three against the Eagles and two against the River Hawks. Senior Cat Barry moved into the No. 4 spot in the record books for career points at 67 after scoring against Boston College, and fifth-year keeper Heather Hinz tallied her 24th career shutout with a 2-0 win against UMass Lowell.

Up next, the No. 13 Gamecocks are back at home to host Elon on Thursday at home in Stone Stadium to kick off a five-game home stand. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:00 p.m., and will be streamed live on SECN+.
