Women’s Hoops to Host Halloween Event

COLUMBIA, S.C. – South Carolina women’s basketball will host an open practice and trick-or-treating with the team on Tue., Oct. 31, at Colonial Life Arena. Admission will be free, and the first 500 fans will get a free t-shirt.

Main entrance doors at Colonial Life Arena will open at 4:45 p.m. with practice expected to run 5-7 p.m. Following practice, fans are invited to trick or treat with the team and coaches at court level until 8 p.m.

In addition to watching practice, from seats in sections 104-106, fans can walk through a Boo House in the McGuire Club, which is at the top of sections 109-110. There will also be an opportunity for pumpkin painting for 100 fans at court level during practice.

Fans can wear costumes to the event, but, for security reasons, no masks will be permitted.

ESPN’s SportsCenter will be on site for live look-ins at practice 6-7:30 p.m. with host Elle Duncan and analyst Debbie Antonelli.

The event will also be a send-off for the Gamecocks, who leave on Nov. 1 to travel to Paris, France, for their historic season opener against #10/10 Notre Dame, on Nov. 6. The game will be broadcast live on ESPN with a 1 p.m. ET tipoff.
