Carolina seeking sixth straight win and first at Coleman Coliseum since 2009
COLUMBIA, S.C. – South Carolina (13-1, 1-0 SEC) heads to Alabama (9-5, 1-0 SEC) today for a Tuesday night matchup at Coleman Coliseum. The Gamecocks are seeking the team’s sixth-straight win and just the third for the program all-time in the building since joining the SEC in 1991-92.
Tip-off is set for 7 p.m. (ET) on SEC Network with Dave Neal (pxp) and Jon Sundvold (analyst) on the call.
The Gamecocks will look to improve to 14-1 for just the sixth time in program history (1933-34, 1944-45, 1969-70, 2003-04 and 2015-16).
It’s a matchup of contrary styles as the Crimson Tide have the nation’s No. 2 scoring offense (91.8 ppg) and the Gamecocks have the country’s No. 18 scoring defense (63.0 ppg). Both teams lead the league in their respective categories.
Alabama has won eight-straight in the series dating back to an epic four-overtime battle at Colonial Life Arena back on Feb. 7, 2017.
