Big Gamecock Weekend is back for 2024
Includes new event for Jr. Gamecock Club members on Sunday
Big Gamecock Weekend presented by Palmetto Shirt Company is back for 2024. This jam-packed weekend of Gamecock activities is set for April 19-21.
In addition to the annual Garnet & Black Spring Game, which culminates the football spring practice slate, highlights of the weekend include the Cocky Trot 5K and a new event for 2024, a Junior Gamecock Club movie night on the field of Williams-Brice Stadium.
The Garnet & Black Spring Game is set for Saturday, April 20 with kickoff at 7 p.m. Admission to the spring game is free and more information will be released as the weekend approaches.
Cocky Trot 5K
This year’s Cocky Trot 5K will begin at 8 a.m. on Saturday, April 20. The 5K as well as a shorter fun run/walk will feature a new course and a commemorative finisher medal and t-shirt for all participants. Both the 5K and fun run finish lines are at the 50-yard line of Williams-Brice Stadium. Registration is now open with early bird pricing in Early bird pricing in effect through Sunday, March 10.
Junior Gamecock Club Movie Night
New for 2024 is the Junior Gamecock Club Movie Night on Sunday, April 21. Junior Gamecock Club members and their guests are invited to sit on the field at Williams-Brice Stadium and watch this year’s feature movie, Wonka.
What else is happening during Big Gamecock Weekend?
The South Carolina baseball, beach volleyball and track and field teams are all at home during Big Gamecock Weekend. Baseball will host a three-game series vs. Arkansas, beach volleyball will host four matches as part of the Gamecock Grand Slam and track and field hosts the USC Open.
