No. 6 Gamecocks Tee It Up at San Diego State Classic Monday

Gamecocks remain out west seeking second straight win and third of the season

RANCHO SANTA FE, Calif. – No. 6 South Carolina remains out west for its second tournament of the spring at the San Diego State Classic. Teams will play 36 holes at The Farms Golf Club on Monday with the final round of play concluding Tuesday.

The top-10 Gamecocks are fresh off the team’s second win of the season. The team went 3-0 in matches with a a pair of top-10 wins en route to victory at the Therese Hession Regional Team Challenge.

Junior All-American Hannah Darling, who went 3-0 in her matches at the event en route to being named SEC Golfer of the Week, has the top spot in the lineup. She’s joined by fellow junior All-American Louise Rydqvist, who also went 3-0 in her matches at the Therese Hession Regional Team Challenge.

Freshman Vairana Heck, sophomore Mia Sandtorv Lussand and senior Sophia Burnett round out the Gamecocks’ counting five this week.

It’s a shotgun start for the field at 11 a.m. (ET) Monday morning. The Gamecocks will be paired with host San Diego State and Virginia.
