Gamecocks Back on the Course Friday in Georgia

STATESBORO, Ga. – The spring season rolls on for the Gamecock men’s golf program this weekend at the Schenkel Invitational (March 15-17). First round action gets underway tomorrow at Georgia Southern’s home course, Forest Heights Country Club.

Sophomore transfer Frankie Harris and junior Nathan Franks man the top two spots in the lineup this week. Both have won tournaments this season. Freshman Bo Carpenter is in the three hole. Sophomore Zach Adams and sixth-year Lansdon Robbins round out the Gamecocks’ counting five this week. Junior transfer Laurens Schulze-Doering will compete as an idnviidual.

It’s a strong field this week with three other SEC schools teeing it up alongside the Gamecocks in No. 17 Florida, No. 25 Mississippi State and Kentucky. Notre Dame sits just outside the top-25 checking in at No. 29 in the latest Clippd Top-25 rankings.

Carolina is paired with the Gators and NC State for the opening round on Friday. Robbins, who is making his lineup debut this season, will be the first player off for the Gamecocks at 10:30 a.m. (ET) from hole one.
