Gamecocks to Play in 2024 Ally Tipoff in Charlotte

COLUMBIA, S.C. – South Carolina women’s basketball will join three other teams for the 2024 Ally Tipoff in Charlotte, the Charlotte Sports Foundation announced today. The Gamecocks will race regional rival NC State on Sun., Nov. 10, at Spectrum Center in Charlotte as part of the a doubleheader that includes Iowa vs. Virginia Tech.

“This is the type of event we love to play in – high-level opponent, regional so our FAMS can be part of the game, and backed by a sponsor who has invested in growing women’s sports,” South Carolina head coach Dawn Staley said. “We appreciate the Charlotte Sports Foundation and Ally Financial for coming together to create what should be a great day of women’s basketball in Charlotte – a place I know appreciates great basketball.”

SEC Regular-Season and Tournament Champion South Carolina is set for its final push of the 2023-24 season, just awaiting the announcement of the NCAA Tournament field on Sun., Mar. 17. Fans can join the Gamecocks to watch the selection show at Colonial Life Arena. Doors open at 6:45 p.m. with activations with the team on the concourse ahead of the show beginning at 8 p.m. Admission and parking are free.
