No. 4 Gamecocks Host Old Barnwell Derby Match Play

AIKEN, S.C. – No. 4 South Carolina is set for its regular season finale in Aiken County as the team host the inaugural Old Barnwell Derby Matchplay. The Gamecocks will play a trio of matches against Mississippi State, No. 18 Florida State and No. 9 Duke.

The Gamecocks will face the Bulldogs and Seminoles on Monday. Carolina will conclude play with a match against the Blue Devils on Tuesday.

Old Barnwell has been a vital asset to growing collegiate women’s golf with the ANNIKA Development Program which former Gamecocks Katherine Muzi and Lois Kaye Go have participated in. For more information, click here.

All-American Hannah Darling will not compete this week as she made her LPGA debut at the FIR HILLS SERI PAK Championship on Thursday and Friday in California on a sponsor exemption from the team’s spring-opening victory at the Therese Hession Regional Challenge back in February.

All-American Louise Rydqvist has the top spot in the lineup this week. She’s joined by sophomore Mia Sandtorv Lussand, freshman Vai Heck, senior Sophia Burnett and freshman Maylis Lamoure.

The first matches get underway at 8:30 a.m. (ET) tomorrow with split tee times on holes one and 10. Live scoring will be available both days via Golfstat.
