Sarr Named to SEC Community Service Team
Columbia, S.C. – South Carolina men’s tennis freshman Jelani Sarr has been recognized by the Southeastern Conference for his efforts beyond the field of competition as a member of the SEC Community Service Team.
Sarr led the team in community service hours this season, primarily working at the Harvest Hope Food Bank. There, he assisted with organizing and packaging food items that were then donated to those in need around the community.
Sarr also volunteered at the habitat for Humanity Restore where he worked with employees to clean and repair household appliances. He also helped with moving furniture, cleaning, and restocking inventory around the store.
Sarr and the Gamecocks will conclude the regular season this Sunday in Gainesville, taking on Florida at 11:00 a.m.
