Heavyweight matchup of top-five teams came down to the wire

BELLEAIR, Fla. – No. 2 South Carolina fell to No. 4 LSU 3-2 in the No. 1 vs. No. 8 seed matchup in the SEC Quarterfinals on Monday at Pelican Golf Club. LSU put the first two points on the board with a 7&6 victory by All-American Ingrid Linblad and a 2&1 victory from Carla Tejedo Mulet.

Heck just missed a birdie putt at 16 to tie the match back up. Headed to 17 trailing by one, Heck missed her par putt to extend the match to 18.

The Gamecocks led in the remaining two matches.
