Gamecocks to Face IU at Assembly Hall in November

South Carolina to play at historic venue for second time ever and first time since 1973 this fall
COLUMBIA, S.C. – South Carolina and Indiana have agreed to play a non-conference game this season on Saturday, Nov. 16 at Assembly Hall. It marks the fourth all-time matchup between the two schools and the first since Nov. 8, 1998 at the NABC Classic in Indianapolis, Ind.
The Gamecocks played a home-and-home with the Hoosiers in the 1972 and 1973 seasons. Carolina won the first matchup, 88-85, at Carolina Coliseum over a top-10 IU team on Dec. 22, 1973. The Hoosiers won on their home floor the following year, 84-71, on Dec. 22, 1973 in a showdown of two top-15 teams.
TV information and tip time will be available at a later date.
The Gamecocks, fresh off an NCAA Tournament appearance after tying the program record with 26 wins, will open the 2024-25 season in early November. Stay tuned to GamecocksOnline.com for more updates on the team’s schedule.
