Fort Myers Tip-Off Releases Travel and TV Info
COLUMBIA, S.C. – Three-time National Champion South Carolina women’s basketball FAMS can make their Thanksgiving plans to either join the Gamecocks at the Elevance Health Women’s Fort Myers Tip-Off or watch the national coverage of both games. The organizers announced details for both today, including the Gamecocks’ Thanksgiving Day game against Iowa State airing on FOX.
Travel packages for fans looking to join one of the eight teams at the Elevance Health Women’s Fort Myers Tip-Off are now available at www.womensfortmyerstipoff.com/travel. The Westin Cape Coral and Marina Village and the Marriott Sanibel Harbour are the event’s host hotels and fans will have the opportunity to stay where the teams stay and experience resort life to the fullest. At this time, the only way to guarantee tickets to the event is through official fan travel packages. Ticket packages, based on availability, will go on sale this fall.
The opening game of the event featuring South Carolina and Iowa State will air live on the FOX broadcast network at noon ET. The remaining games of the tournament will air live on Women’s Sports Network, a free, ad-supported streaming television network and the first and only 24/7 platform dedicated exclusively to female athletes. Women’s Sports Network is available in over 100 million households across Roku, Tubi, amazon Freevee, VIZIO WatchFree+, LG Channels on LG Smar TVs, Fubo, Plex and XumoPlay. The Gamecocks’ Sat., Nov. 30 matchup with Purdue is set for an 11 a.m. ET tipoff.
The Fort Myers Tip-Off has established itself as one of the preeminent early season college basketball events on both the women’s and men’s calendars. For the third time, Intersport, owner and operator of the Tip-Off, will host the top women’s and men’s programs, including South Carolina’s men’s and women’s teams, for a weeklong celebration of college basketball during Thanksgiving Week. In total 16 women’s and men’s games will be contested over a six-day period from Nov. 25-30. Eight men’s games across two divisions will lead off the schedule of events from Nov. 25-27, and the week will conclude with the Elevance Health Women’s Fort Myers Tip-Off, Nov. 28-30.
