Men’s Soccer at Jacksonville Halted Due to Weather

COLUMBIA, S.C. – The South Carolina men’s soccer match at Jacksonville Wednesday night (Sept. 4) was halted due to inclement weather that moved in after halftime. South Carolina was leading 3-0 when it was halted in the 50th minute. They will look to resume the match at a future date.

The match began about 30 minutes late due to weather in the area. Once the match got underway, Harrison Myring scored in the sixth minute to give Carolina an early lead. Jonah Biggar scored in the eighth minute before Myring added another goal in the 30th minute. Heavy rains came in after halftime before the lighting halted play and ultimately forced the match to be suspended.

The Gamecocks return to action Saturday when they host Belmont at 7 p.m.
