Gamecocks Open Bradley Era Friday at Visit Knoxville Collegiate

LOUDON, Tenn. – A new chapter of South Carolina men’s golf gets underway on Friday morning as the team opens the season at the Visit Knoxville Collegiate. It’ll be the Gamecocks’ first tournament under the direction of new head coach Rob Bradley.

Carolina will be paired with a pair of teams from the SEC in LSU and Mississippi State in round one Friday morning. Sophomore Bo Carpenter will be the first player off for the Gamecocks at 11:10 a.m. (ET) on hole one at Tennessee National Golf Club.

Carpenter is joined in the lineup this week by redshirt junior Frankie Harris, senior Nathan Franks, junior Zach Adams and UTSA transfer Brock Blais. Redshirt freshman Ismael Encinas will compete as an individual this week. Both he and Blais will be making their debuts in Garnet and Black.

It’s a solid field this week with five of the 16 teams hailing from the SEC. Georgia Tech and defending individual NCAA Champion Hiroshi Tai will also be teeing it up at Tennessee National this week.
