National Champs and Staley Set for Football Game Day Appearances

COLUMBIA, S.C. – Reigning National and SEC Champion South Carolina women’s basketball will be at Williams-Brice Stadium on Sat., Sept. 14, to participate in the festivities in and around the South Carolina vs. LSU football game. ESPN announced today that women’s basketball head coach Dawn Staley will be the guest picker on College Game Day, which is broadcasting from Gamecock Park beginning at 9 a.m.

South Carolina’s 2024-25 women’s basketball team will be in Gamecock Village signing autographs on the provided autograph card at 9:15-10 a.m., pending suitable weather.

Staley will join the ESPN College Game Day set in Gamecock Park at 10:50 a.m. for a segment at that location. She will later move to the in-stadium set to share her picks for Saturday’s key games at 11:40 a.m.

During the game, the team will be recognized at halftime for its sweep of SEC and NCAA Championships in 2024 as the Gamecocks became just the fifth program to complete an undefeated National Championship season.
