No. 4 Gamecocks Back In Action Friday at Mason Rudolph

FRANKLIN, Tenn. – No. 4 South Carolina tees it up again at the Mason Rudolph Championship on Friday morning at Vanderbilt Legends Club. The Gamecocks will look to make it two consecutive victories to start the fall campaign after the team ran away with a 31-win shot win at the season-opening ANNIKA Intercollegiate.

It’ll be the same counting five this week for Carolina led by the team’s senior All-Americans Hannah Darling and Louise Rydqvist, who finished 1-2 at the season opener. Darling shot 202 (-14) for her second career win at the event. Her 54-hole total T-3^rd lowest mark in program history. Rydqvist matched a career-low 54-hole score with her 203, which she also shot at the SEC Championship last spring.

Sophomore Maylis Lamoure is in the third position with junior Mia Sandtorv Lussand and sophomore Vairana Heck rounding out the Gamecocks’ counting five this week. Freshman Sophia Burnett will compete as an individual.

It’s a solid field with some SEC flare this week featuring Alabama, Kentucky, Mississippi State, Texas, Texas A&M and the host Vanderbilt.

Carolina will be paired with No. 11 Northwestern and No. 18 Clemson for the opening 18 holes. Heck will be the first player off for the Gamecocks on hole one at 11 a.m. (ET) with live scoring available via Golfstat.
