Four Gamecocks Pick Up All-SEC Awards

BIRMINGHAM, AL – Four Gamecocks have been named to the All-SEC lists, as announced by the conference Sunday.

Katie Shea Collins - Forward - All-SEC Freshman and Second Team

Collins has had a breakout year for the Gamecocks, scoring nine goals on the season (three of them game-winners), the second most on the team in addition to her 20 points. Collins had four SEC Player of the Week honors, including three Freshman of the Week nods, the most of any freshman in program history.

The rookie made her mark in her first collegiate game as a Gamecock, recording the program’s seventh-ever hat trick and scoring the second-fasted goal ever for South Carolina just 34 seconds into the game.

These are her first All-SEC honors.

Cat Barry – Forward – First Team

Barry has recorded a standout season so far, scoring a career-high 13 goals so far this year, the most in the conference. Barry leads the team in goals, assists (6), and points (32), and has moved her way up in the South Carolina record books.

With her game-winner against Georgia State, Barry moved into the No. 1 spot for career game-winning goals at 18. The fifth-year added another against Auburn, with more games to come. Her 46 career goals currently rank second overall.

This is Barry’s third All-SEC honor.

Gracie Falla – Defender – First Team

Falla has been a dominant presence in the backfield for the Gamecocks, playing the full 90 minutes in 15 of 16 appearances. The 2023 SEC Defender of the Year, Falla has been instrumental to South Carolina’s four shutouts on the year, and has also handed out an assist and taken three shots with two on target.

The SEC honor is the fourth of Falla’s career.

Hallie Meadows – Defender – Third Team

Making starts in all 16 games for South Carolina, Meadows has been a consistent force for South Carolina, playing the full 90 for 11 games including the last eight consecutively, helping anchor the Gamecock defense while dishing out two assists on the year.

Her All-SEC honor is the first of her career.
