Carolina last matched up with the Bulldogs in the first game of the Lamont Paris era back in the 2022-23 season
COLUMBIA, S.C. – South Carolina (0-1) host SC State (1-0) Friday night at Colonial Life Arena, seeking its first victory of the 2024-25 season. Tipoff is set for 7 p.m. (ET) with doors opening at 6 p.m. SEC Network+ will provide TV coverage of the non-conference matchup with Dave Weinstein (pxp) and John Williams (analyst) on the call.
The Gamecocks are looking to bounce back from a tough opening night loss in which the team led for nearly 30 minutes of the game. Four players scored in double-figures for Carolina, led by preseason All-SEC selection Collin Murray-Boyles, who finished with 15 points.
The Gamecocks lead the all-time series with the Bulldogs, 22-0, with the last matchup coming in the opening game of the 2022-23 season. The 79-77 victory was the first at South Carolina for head coach Lamont Paris. Hayden Brown scored 21 points and Gregory “GG” Jackson II had 18 points and 10 rebounds in his collegiate debut.
