South Carolina looking to snap a three-game losing skid to start SEC play at 6 p.m. (ET) in Memorial Gym
COLUMBIA, S.C. – South Carolina hits the road for a pair of SEC contests this week, first traveling to the Music City to face Vanderbilt (13-3, 1-2 SEC) on Wednesday night. Tip is set for 6 p.m. (ET) on SEC Network with Dave Neal (pxp) and Jon Sundvold (analyst) on the call for the broadcast.
The Gamecocks are seeking to rebound from a tough home loss last Saturday, 66-63, to the nation’s new No. 1 team Auburn. Carolina has played just three true road games this season and will be seeking its first win away from home since defeating Boston College, 73-51, back on Dec. 3 in the SEC/ACC Challenge.
The last time the Gamecocks played at Memorial Gym was the SEC opener in Lamont Paris’ first season on Jan. 3, 2023. The Commodores won a back-and-forth affair, 84-79, in overtime. Chico Carter Jr. hit four 3s and had 24 points and Meechie Johnson scored 18 to lead Carolina.
