Gamecocks Pick Up Win on the Road

DAVIS, CA – The No. 8 ranked Gamecocks picked up an 11-9 road win on Friday, taking down the UC Davis Aggies.

South Carolina started off hot, taking Fences 4-1. Bella Primavera got the points going with her 81-73 win over Emma Jolly, followed by Amira Kettaneh’s 76-75 win on Bam Bam. Natalie Jayne kept things rolling with her 86-83 win over Natalie Wasson, earning an MOP for that ride. Kenley Koch rounded out the event with a win of her own, defeating Lauren Kolbe 56-50 on Kullen.

In Horsemanship, Alyssa Jipping earned her point 73-70, with Carly Jenkins taking the second point overall in the event with a career-high 77-67.5 win over Natasha Replogle. For her ride, Jenkins earned her second MOP of the season.

On the Flat, Sophie Mitchell picked up a point 52-47, followed by Natalie Jayne’s 77-76 win on Stallone. The day wrapped in Reining, where the Gamecocks took the event 3-2.

Mattie McNeill (68-66.5), Chloe VanStone (68-67), and Chloe Stephenson (73.5-72.5) all picked up points for South Carolina, with Stephenson earning her third MOP of the season after her ride.
