
No. 17 Gamecocks Back in Action Sunday at Linger Longer Invitational

Carolina will be playing in its second tournament of the week at the Linger Longer invitational
GREENSBORO, Ga. – No. 17 South Carolina is set to compete again starting Sunday at the Linger Longer Invitational (March 16-18). The 54-hole stroke play event hosted by Kennesaw State will be played at The Landings Course at Reynolds Lake Oconee.
Senior All-American Nathan Franks has the top spot in the lineup after a season-best, third-place showing recently at The Hayt. The Roebuck, S.C. native shot 210 (-6) to lead the team to a sixth-place finish in a strong field at Sawgrass Country Club.
Redshirt junior Frankie Harris, the team’s top ranked player in Clippd, returns to the lineup this week in what will be his spring debut. He has two top-five finishes in four starts this season.
Junior Zach Adams, who finished just outside the top-20 at The Hayt, will be in the three-spot in the lineup. Sophomore Brock Blais and freshman Marek Fleming will round out the Gamecocks’ counting five. Sophomore Bo Carpenter and freshman mid-year enrollee Emil Elkjær Petersen will compete as individuals.
Clippd will provide live scoring all three days of the event. It’s a shotgun start for the field on Sunday at 11:30 a.m. (ET) on Sunday.
