Beach Volleyball Finishes Road Weekend

TALLAHASSEE, FLA. – Gamecock beach volleyball lost to a pair of top-10-ranked opponents on Saturday, the final day of the Unconquered Invitational. South Carolina (8-13) faced No. 10 LSU (19-10) and the host Seminoles (23-6), losing both duals by a 5-0 margin.

The Saturday opener against the Tigers was tighter than the final score would allude to, South Carolina came out on the wrong side of three courts going to third sets. In the weekend finale against No. 5 Florida State, the Gamecocks weren’t able to slow down the Seminoles across the five pairs; each would end in two sets.

UP NEXT
The team will travel to Baton Rouge, La. for the Battle on the Bayou April 11-12. Carolina will play four duals, two on Friday and two Saturday, but ironically the team will not face the host Tigers. First up is Tulane and Stephen F. Austin on April 11, follow by Texas A&M-Corpus Christi and Houston Christian on April 12
