Petersson Leads Gamecocks in Fall Finale at Fallen Oak

Swedish freshman finished T-27th at 1-under for the tournament with a 54-hole total of 215
SAUCIER, Miss. – South Carolina finished 14th in its final tournament of the fall on Monday at the Fallen Oak Collegiate Invitational. The Gamecocks shot 21-over for a 54-hole total of of 885.
Freshman August Petersson competed as an individual this week and led all Gamecocks with a T-27th finish at 1-under. He shot 71-71-73, making 12 birdies.
Senior Zach Adams paced the five lineup players for Carolina with a T-44th finish at 3-over. He led the team today with a 1-under 71. The Charleston, S.C. native posted scores of 74-74-71, making five birdies and an eagle.
The Gamecocks will return to action in the spring at the Puerto Rico Classic Feb. 9-11. Carolina will play in four more events after that in March and April before beginning postseason play at the SEC Championship (April 22-26).
