Natalie Jayne Moves Up Record Book in Final Fall Meet

AUBURN, AL – The No. 2 Gamecocks (5-2, 1-2) wrapped up the fall portion of the 2025-26 season at No. 3 Auburn, falling 13-6. Despite the loss, two Gamecocks earned new season highs, and senior Natalie Jayne picked up an MOP.

On the Flat, South Carolina saw points from power duo Amira Kettaneh and Natalie Jayne. Kettaneh earned her point 87-83 on King, while Jayne defeated Ariana Marnell with a massive 12.5 point win, 88.5-76 to pick up her first MOP of the season in the event. Jayne’s MOP was the 14th of her career (a school record), and her 38th win during her time as a Gamecock, moving her to the No. 2 spot for career Flat wins in South Carolina history.

Over in Reining, Gracie Mae Stingle grabbed the sole point for the Gamecocks in the event, winning 70.5-69 on Stewie to make things 7-3 at the half.

South Carolina opened the second half in Fences, defeating Auburn 3-2. It was the first win in Fences over Auburn in the last eight meets, with the Gamecocks last taking the Tigers down 3-1 on the road in 2022-23 season (March 3). Bella Primavera picked up the first point, taking things 80.5-76 on Dan. Grace Rabb followed suit, taking down Kate Hagerty on Rico 83-81. Alyssa Bauer rounded out the event, defeating Ariana Marnell by nearly 10 points, 85-76.5 on Herbie. Bauer leads the Gamecocks in Fences this year, remaining undefeated at 7-0-0. Despite a loss, Jayne put up a new season high of 90.5 on Tigger, falling by just half a point to Avery Glynn’s 91.

The Tigers finished things out with a sweep in Horsemanship, 4-0. In a return to her former stomping grounds, Alexis Potts put up a massive 77.25 for the Gamecocks, tying with Auburn’s Caroline Fredenburg. It was the first tie for Fredenburg this season, and Potts remains undefeated on the year at 5-0-2. Alyssa Jipping also brought in a new season-high of 75 on Red.

South Carolina will pick things back up in late January, facing Baylor to open up the spring portion of the season.
