Non-conference matchup closes a four-game homestand by South Carolina to open the 2025-26 season
COLUMBIA, S.C. – South Carolina (3-0) remains at Colonial Life Arena for the final contest of a four-game homestand to start the season, welcoming in Radford (2-3) Tuesday night. Tipoff is set for 7 p.m. (ET) with arena doors opening 1 hour prior.
Dave Weinstein (pxp) and John Williams (analyst) will be on the call for the SEC Network+ broadcast.
The Gamecocks are fresh off an 81-61 win over Presbyterian last Wednesday. Senior transfer guard Mike Sharavjamts led four in double figures with 13 points. Three freshmen provided a spark for Carolina in the victory. Forward Hayden Assemian got his first start and finished with a team-high in rebounds (8) and blocks (2). Guard Grant Polk led the Gamecock reserves with 12 points off the bench, going 4-of-4 from behind the arc. Guard Eli Ellis led the team with five assists and no turnovers. Junior forward Jordan Butler had his best game in Garnet and Black with career-highs in points (11) and rebounds (7).
Tuesday’s game is an on-campus, unbracketed matchup part of the upcoming Skechers Greenbrier Tip-Off.
The Highlanders have played five games total this season with both their wins coming on their home floor against Western Illinois (Nov. 3) and West Virginia Wesleyan (Nov. 7). They played their first true road game of the season at North Carolina on Nov. 11, falling 89-74. Radford is fresh off two games in the River Division of the Greenbrier Tip-Off over the weekend. The Highlanders lost 92-59 to Wright State on Saturday and 87-82 to Cleveland State on Sunday. They were up in both games at halftime.
NC State transfer Dennis Parker Jr. is the team’s leading scorer averaging 16.4 points per game. Clemson transfer Del Jones is their second-leading scorer, averaging 15.4 points per game. Georgia Southern transfer Tyson Brown averages 8.0 points, 8.0 rebounds (leads team) and 1.6 blocks (leads team) per game. Offensively, Radford has averaged 78.8 points per game, scoring 80 or more on three occasions thru five games to begin the season.

The Gamecocks will first face Butler (3-1) at 2 p.m. (ET) on Friday and then Northwestern (4-0) at 5 p.m. (ET) on Sunday.
