Daryabeigi & Stenzer Clinch All-America Status with Round of 16 Win
ORLANDA, Fla. – South Carolina’s doubles duo of Sean Daryabeigi and Max Stenzer continued their impressive postseason run on Thursday afternoon, defeating North Carolina’s Ian Mayew and Kase Schinnerer 7-6(2), 6-4 in the Round of 16 at the NCAA Individual Championships.
With the victory, the Gamecock pair advanced to the quarterfinals and officially earned All-America honors for the first time in their collegiate careers, making them the 18th and 19th in South Carolina program history.
Daryabeigi and Stenzer face a duo from Florida, their first SEC opponent of the tournament.
