No. 18 Gamecocks, Heck Log Wins at Shootout at Wachesaw

First win of the season for the team and first career individual win for junior from France

MURRELLS INLET, S.C. – No. 18 South Carolina won the Shootout at Wachesaw on Monday by four shots, shooting 573 (-3) at the one day, 36-hole event. The Gamecocks shot 287 (-7) in round one and 292 (+4) in round two to beat Minnesota by four shots.

Junior Vai Hack earned medalist honors for the first time in her career, shooting 137 (-7) Wachesaw Plantation Club.  She fired a bogey free 67 (-5) in round one and closed with a 2-under 70 in round two. She led the field with 10 birdies and led the field in par-4 scoring average (3.70, -6).

Sophomore Eila Galitsky (7th) and junior Maylis Lamoure (9th) finished in the top-10. Galitsky shot 69-74 for a 36-hole total of 143 (-1). Lamoure shot 73-72 for a 36-hole total 145 (+1).

Senior Mia Sandtorv Lussand finished T-16th at 5-over (149) after shooting 73-76. Junior transfer Alicia Olsson and redshirt junior Camila Burnett finished T-23rd at 7-over (151).

Today marked the 33rd tournament win in 19 seasons under head coach Kalen Anderson (first team title since historic win at 2025 SEC Championship last April).
