Douglas Nover

Douglas Nover arrived at South Carolina in December 2023 as the director of operations for the men’s and women’s tennis programs after serving for two years as the athletic events manager at St. John’s University in his home state of New York.

With the Red Storm, Nover worked with facilities staff to coordinate and execute a number of athletic events on campus.

Prior to his time at St. John’s, Nover served a graduate assistantship at Virginia Commonwealth University.  During his time in Richmond, he worked closely with VCU’s cross country and track teams to coordinate all logistical needs including travel itineraries, meals and transportation while graduating with a master of sport leadership.

The Queens native also possesses a wealth of experience from the world of professional tennis, as he spent time as an operations director at both the New York Empire and the John McEnroe Tennis Academy at Randall’s Island.

As an undergraduate, Nover was an accomplished student-athlete at Saint Peter’s University in Jersey City, N.J. He played tennis for the Peacocks for three seasons and competed in cross country & track for one season. Nover earned his bachelor’s degree in business management and graduated in the top 10 of his class.
