Sarah Noll, LISW-CP

Director of Operations for Mental Health and Performance

Sarah Noll is a Licensed Independent Social Worker. Mrs. Noll joined the University of South Carolina Athletics Department Mental Health and Performance team in 2018, bringing with her over a decade of experience working in community mental health, inpatient psychiatry, and private practice settings. Ms. Noll is trained in the therapeutic modality Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR); now considered best practice for the treatment of trauma. Mrs. Noll is experienced in helping clients who experience depression, anxiety, and other mood disorders, substance issues, personality disorders, and trauma.

Mrs. Noll grew up in South Carolina and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Wofford College in 2003. She later went on to complete her Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of South Carolina College of Social Work in 2008.

In working with student-athletes, Mrs. Noll utilizes a client-centered approach, pulling from various treatment modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Solutions Focused Therapy to meet each person’s needs where they are. In her role, Mrs. Noll is also responsible for overseeing the operations of the Mental Health and Performance team, supervising clinicians and interns, and consulting with coaches and staff.
