2011-2012: 2-3 record in Reining… Won her first point as a Gamecock on Sept. 23 in the season opener against Fresno State, as she defeated her Bulldog opponent, 74.5-72… Improved to 2-0 a week later on Sept. 30 when she beat her TCU opponent, 71-64… Fall 2011 President[apos]s List.

2010-2011: 0-3 record in Reining… Competed for the first time on 1/28 at her former school, No. 1 Texas A&M… First-year letter winner… SEC Academic Honor Roll… Fall 2010 President[apos]s List… Spring 2011 President[apos]s List.

2009-2010: Freshman at Texas A&M University… 2-0 record in head-to-head exhibition rides… Member of the 2010 Varsity Equestrian Western National Championship team and Reserve Overall National Champions. Transferred to South Carolina during the 2010 summer.

High School: Finished fifth in the 2007 USEF Youth Reining National Championships … qualified later that year for the NAYRC Young Riders National Championships … placed third in the youth 14-18 year-end event at the 2008 Eastern Pennsylvania Reining Horse Association competition … Melody Diamond Malbin is the daughter of Gary and Donna Malbin of Redding, Connecticut… the youngest of four children, has three brothers, Mike, Alex and George … a 2009 graduate of Joel Barlow High School in Redding, Connecticut … lettered one season in basketball and two in lacrosse … has been riding nine years, with experience in English, western pleasure, horsemanship and reining.
