PRE-SOUTH CAROLINA

• Prior to joining the Gamecocks, played three seasons at USC Upstate, averaging 5.3 points and 2.4 rebounds in 56 career games for the Spartans
• Junior season with the Spartans was cut short due to injuries
• Scored a career best 23 points behind nine made field goals vs. VMI (Dec. 29, 2019) during sophomore campaign
• Began college career with a six-point performance vs. South Carolina (Nov. 6, 2018) at Colonial Life Arena, while also blocking one shot and collecting a steal in the matchup
• Played high school basketball at Cardinal Newman School in Columbia, earning all-state and all-region honors during prep career
• A member of the 500-rebound club at Cardinal Newman
• Averaged 14 points and 10 rebounds per game during senior season 
• Spent a post-grad year at St. Thomas More School (Connecticut)

PERSONAL

• Son of Frank, and stepmother, Anya, Martin and mother, Kimberly Hicks
• Has three brothers, Kameron, Justin and Christian, and two sisters, Amalia and Ariel
• Father, Frank, is the head men’s basketball coach for the Gamecocks
• Mother, Kimberly, played college basketball at FAU, and then played professionally in Venezuela, Israel and Germany
• His advice to young people is “keep working hard and don’t let anyone tell you that you can’t do things!”
• Lists Kevin Durant, Steph Curry and Lebron James as his favorite professional basketball players
• His favorite vacation destination is Dubai
• An interdisciplinary studies major
