Posted a 74.04 average, competing in nine tournaments … collected two top-20 finishes, hitting the mark when it counted most in the SEC Championship and the NCAA West Regional … shot a season-best 68 in each of the first two rounds of the NCAA West Regional en route to a career-best 206 for the tournament and an 18th-place finish … tied for the team[apos]s top spot in the SEC Championship, finishing 16th at 221 after a final-round 69 … member of the SEC Spring Sports Academic Honor Roll.

Earned third-team All-America honors from the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) after leading the Gamecocks with four top-10 finishes, including two firsts, and five top-20 spots in his freshman campaign … earned a spot on the GCAA All-Freshman team … collected PING All-Southeast Region honors … named SEC Freshman of the Year … also was an All-SEC first team selection … finished with a team-best 73.22 stroke average and twice finished first in a tournament … tied for 31st place with teammate Eirik Johansen in his first SEC Championship … won his first outright title at the Schenkel E-Z-Go Invitational a week after tying for first at the Southern Highlands Collegiate … opened the Southern Highlands with a team-low round of 66 but missed individual medalist honors in a one-hole playoff … tied for fifth at the Sun Trust Gator Invitational … named to the SEC Freshman Academic Honor Roll.

Was a six-year letterman at Beaufort Academy … earned all-conference and all-state honors freshman through senior years … captured the SCISA Individual State Championship in 2003 and 2004 … also won the 2003 South Carolina Junior Amateur title … helped Beaufort Academy to SCISA Region Championships in 2002 and 2003 and to SCISA State Championships in 1999, 2000 and 2003 … finished in the top five at the 2003 AJGA Hargray Classic and the 2003 AJGA HP Boys Championship … ranked fourth in the South Carolina junior rankings.
