  • Won 15 of the first 16 matches to open dual-match play
  • Advanced to the semifinals of the Ivy-Plus Invitational (Lenz Draw) with wins over Max Schmidt of Dartmouth and Luke Gamble of Princeton

2015-16 (JUNIOR)

ATHLETICS

  • Posted third-consecutive season of 20+ wins, going 22-18 on the season
  • Moved up to No. 2 in the singles lineup for dual-match play, fighting his way to a 10-14 mark and 3-9 SEC record
  • Particularly strong in three-set matches, compiling a 6-3 record, which included wins over opponents from Vanderbilt (Mar. 10), Tennessee (Mar. 27), and Arkansas (Apr. 17)
  • Clinched South Carolina’s biggest win in the regular season finale at No. 12 Arkansas (Apr. 17), topping his opponent in dramatic fashion, 4-6, 7-5, 6-4
  • Earned a commanding win over the same opponent from No. 19 Arkansas (Apr. 21) in the SEC Tournament to help the Gamecocks reach the quarterfinals
  • Posted a 5-7 mark at No. 2 doubles with teammate Gabriel Friedrich and a 3-4 record at No. 3 with partner Thomas Mayronne
  • Won the Flight B singles title at the SEC Fall Classic
  • Also took home the doubles crown at the South Carolina Men’s Collegiate Championships and finished as runner-up in the singles draw

  • Claimed the highest-ranked win over his career, topping No. 15 player in the nation in second round of the SEC Fall Classic en route to the round of 16

  • Named to the SEC All-Freshman team after one of the best freshman campaigns in program history

  • Tied for second on the team with five SEC singles wings, ninth-best mark for a freshman in program history
  • Provided the match-clinching point six times in 16 team wins, including both postseason victories, and went 7-2 in three-set matches
  • Ranked as high as No. 88 in the nation in singles
  • Claimed his first NCAA Tournament career victory to clinch the team’s win over George Washington (May 10)
  • Rallied to win a first-set tiebreak then rolled in the second set of his first SEC Tournament victory, which clinched the team win over Alabama (Apr. 17)
  • Won six of his last seven regular-season singles matches, including four SEC contests
  • Three-set win sealed team’s victory over Ole Miss (Apr. 4)
  • Picked up his first SEC win in his league debut with a commanding performance against Texas A&M (Mar. 1)
  • Opened dual-match play with 10 wins in first 11 decisions in singles
  • Won all four matches in pre-qualifying for the ITA All-American Championships
  • Claimed his first win over a ranked opponent in the SEC Fall Classic, topping the nation’s No. 39 player from Florida
