Sophomore Year (2011-12)
Finished season as part of the nation’s 29th-ranked doubles team with Chip Cox … Competed in the NCAA Doubles Championship … Posted a 6-5 record against nationally ranked duos in doubles, including a 5-4 mark with Cox, among his season total of 16-15 on the doubles court … Was a solid 8-4 in doubles with Kyle Koch, including a win over the nation’s 19th-ranked duo as part of a seven-match win that ranks eighth in school history … Clinched the doubles point in the regular-season finale at Florida as he and Cox upset the nation’s ninth-ranked tandem at the top of the lineup … Collected a singles win in SEC play with a straight-set win in the No. 2 match against Alabama … Started the SEC season ranked No. 92 in the nation in singles … Opened dual-match play with a pair of victories at the top spot in the lineup … Advanced to the round of 16 at the SEC Indoor Championships with a win over No. 69 Bob van Overbeek of Florida … Had a strong fall with a 6-3 singles record … Reached the round of 16 at the ITA Carolina Regional before falling to the nation’s fourth-ranked player … Took fifth in the top bracket of the Duke Fab Four Invitational.
