Appeared in four indoor meets during her first indoor campaign for the Gamecocks … Made her indoor debut at the Gamecock Opener, running the mile in a time of 5:11.11 to finish 10^th overall … Ran the 3K in her other three appearances, including finishing a season-best seventh in her first 3K appearance at the Carolina Challenge, running 10:11.38 … Ran a personal best time in the 3000m at the Razorback Invitational with a time of 10:09.27 to finish ninth overall.

Outdoor
Appeared in six meets during her first outdoor campaign with the Gamecocks, running the 800m, mile, 1500m and primarily the 5000m … Ran a pair of personal bests in her outdoor debut at the Shamrock Invitational, clocking 2:30.05 in the 800m and then 5:17.30 in the mile to finish fifth … The following week, she made her home debut in the 5K, clocking 17:44.14 to place third overall in the Weems Baskin Invitational … Finished runner-up in the Tom Jones Invitational 5K with a personal best time of 17:28.26 … Also ran the 5,000m at the SEC Championship in Gainesville, running 17:53.84 … Won the Gamecock Invitational 1500m after running a collegiate best time of 4:44.29.

Cross Country
Competed in five meets during her freshman cross country campaign … Made her collegiate debut at the Eye Opener in Spartanburg, running 19:42.6 … Her best finish of the season was in the Gamecock Challenge on Sept. 15, finishing 21^st overall in the 5K event with a personal best time of 17:51.9 for the 20^th best 5K run in program history … Ran a pair of 6K races during her first season, with a personal best time of 22:54.6 at the Paul Short Run on Sept. 30.

Lettered in cross country, track & field and soccer while at May River High School in Hilton Head, S.C. … Competed in the 800m, 1600m, 3200m, 4x400m relay and the 4x800m relays … Holds four different school records: 5K (18:00.0), 1600m (5:05), 3200m (10:58), and the 4x800m (9:40) … Had a strong senior season in 2022-23 in which she earned Athlete of the Year … She finishing third in the state in the 3200m, and finished Top-10 in both the 1600m and the 4x800m relay … Also finished third in the state in cross country in the fall of 2022 … Finished third in the state in 2022 in both the 3200m and the 4x800m relay, while also finishing second in the state in cross country that season … Her best season came in 2021 when she finished second in the state in the 3200m, 4x800m relay and then third in the state in the 1600m.

Born to her parents Carlos and Shazia Arroyo on April 22, 2005 … Has one sibling, Sean … Was awarded with the Mayor’s Award, Presidential Award and was also a member of the NHS, Beta and several leadership roles … Plans to major in pharmaceutical sciences with the plans of becoming a pharmacist and/or business owner (cosmetic line, fragrance line) … She is on an academic scholarship and is a member of the Honors College.
