2005-06 (Junior Year)
Compiled a career-best 76.17 stroke average as a junior … Posted a very impressive top-10 finish at the SEC Championship, tying for seventh with a 75-74-72=221 … Pearson[apos]s performance at the SEC Championship marked the lowest 54-hole score of any Gamecock player this spring and was the third-lowest 54-hole total of her career … In finishing seventh, Pearson became the 10th Carolina player ever to finish in the top 10 at the SEC Championship and the first since Kristy McPherson finished third in 2003 … Finished ahead of five of the nation[apos]s top 28 players who competed at the SEC Championship … Turned in a solid 79-71-74=224 performance at the Bryan National Collegiate that resulted in her tying for 21st on the individual leader board at the event, placing her ahead of six players in the field who were ranked among the nation[apos]s top 50 players … Her second-round 71 at the Bryan National Collegiate set an 18-hole low for her during the spring portion of the schedule … Has been a mainstay in the South Carolina lineup in each of the last two years … Posted the best finish of her career by finishing in a tie for sixth on the individual leader board at the Chrysler Invitational with a 70-72-83=225 … Her performance at the Chrysler Challenge led the Gamecocks to the victory … Her first-round 70 at that event set a season low for any South Carolina player in 2005-06 and was only one stroke off her career-low round … Posted a top-25 finish at the Lady Tar Heel Invitational with a 79-75-72=226, tying for 25th at the event.

2004-05 (Sophomore Year)
The only Gamecock to compete in every tournament in 2004-05…Competed at the 2005 NCAA Championships, carding a 79-79-72-73=303 to finish in a tie for 60th on the individual leader board…Qualified for the NCAA Championships by finishing with the second-lowest score at the NCAA East Regional among players representing schools that did not qualify as a team, carding a 70-77-72=219…Had a 77.09 stroke average…Notched three top-20 finishes as a sophomore, carding a 69-74-74=217 to finish 14th at the NCAA Fall Preview, an 81-79-79=239 to finish 19th in very windy conditions at the Lady Gamecock Classic and a 70-77-72=219 at the NCAA East Regional…Turned in her two lowest round of the spring when she carded a 70 in the first round and a 72 in the final round at NCAA Regionals….Also shot a 72 in the third round at the NCAA Championships.

Summer, 2004
Competed at the USGA Public Links Championship, advancing to the quarterfinals in match play before falling to golf superstar Michelle Wie…Carded a 71 in the first round of stroke play and a 66 in the second round…Pearson[apos]s second round was highlighted by seven birdies, four of which came on the back nine…Her two-round stroke play score of 137 was the second-best of any competitor in the field and was four strokes better than Wie[apos]s stroke play total of 141…Also competed at the U.S. Amateur Championship, advancing to the round of 16 after a convincing five-up victory in the round of 32 over Spain[apos]s Tania Elosegui.

2003-04 (Freshman Year)
Competed in seven tournaments during her first year at the collegiate level, compiling a 78.6 stroke average…Low round was a 72 at the Lady Gamecock Classic…Shot a 73 at the Liz Murphey Collegiate Classic, where she finished with a 78-73-76=227…Matched her three-round low of 227 at the SEC Tournament, where she fired a 76-75-76.

High School
Came to South Carolina after an outstanding prep career on the links … Graduated in June of 2003 after a four-year career at Wheaton Warrenville South High School … Led the Tigers to its first DuPage Valley Conference championship in her junior and senior years (2002 and 2003) … As a senior, helped Wheaton finish first in the state regionals … Captured the DuPage Valley Conference Individual title as a freshman, junior and senior … Had a run of five consecutive tournaments with par-or-better scores during her senior year … Four-time DPV All-Conference team member … MVP of her Wheaton High School girls team all four years … Served as team captain as a junior and again in her senior year … Over the 2003 summer, qualified for the U.S. Girls Junior Open and won the Westfield PGA Illinois Sectional at the Highland Park Country Club… Won the second flight of the Women[apos]s Western Tournament at the Stone Creek Course (Champaign, Illinois) … A hard-worker in the classroom as well as on the golf course … Named to the All-Conference Academic Team all four years … Member of Wheaton[apos]s National Honor Society and the German National Honor Society.

Born Aug. 27, 1985, in Champaign-Urbana, Ill. … Full name is Jenna Elizabeth Pearson … Family includes parents Stephen and Laura Pearson; her two sisters, Michele and Lisa and her dog, Heidi … Parents are both golfers and she credits her father with starting her in the game … Majoring in civil engineering at South Carolina but hopes to play on the LPGA Tour after college … Post-school ambition includes being number one on the Tour … When she[apos]s off the golf course and not in the library studying, look for her to be working out and lifting weights … Strongly believes in the inspirational saying that ‘It[apos]s not whether or not you fall down, it[apos]s whether you get back up’ … One of her favorite things about Coach Coggins is her genuine personality … Only claims one golf superstition: no pink tees! … Childhood favorite color is orange but not Clemson, Florida or Tennessee orange.
