2019 (SENIOR)

  • Developed into a dependable utility player for the team, appearing in 25 matches and 81 total sets for the year.
  • Shined most as a back-row defender, finishing third on the team in serve receptions (389) and recording a .933 serve reception percentage.
  • Also totaled 107 digs (1.32 per set).
  • Set a career high with 15 digs in the match against Cincinnati (8/30).
  • Totaled 22 digs and 36 serves received with just one reception error over 12 sets in the Gamecock Invitational (9/20-22).
  • Finished with seven kills and five digs in her final game in her home state of Missouri (11/17).
  • Set a career high with three aces in the regular season final against Arkansas (11/29).

2018 (JUNIOR)

  • Slowed by an injury in the preseason, Starr finished with 23 sets played over 11 matches.
  • Saw extended action against Charlotte, and responded with season bests of 10 kills and seven digs in the win (9/4).

2017 (SOPHOMORE)

  • Moved back to her natural position on the left pin and played in 26 matches for the team
  • Almost doubled her kill total from 2016, averaging 1.79 per set
  • Set a career high with 12 kills and six digs against Duke, also adding seven block assists (9/2)
  • Proved to be a capable passer, averaging 1.24 digs per set with a season high of 13 against Ole Miss (11/22)

2016 (FRESHMAN)

  • Came on late in the non-conference schedule and earned major playing time as a starting middle blocker, appearing in 25 matches with 13 starts
  • Led the team with 80 total blocks, and her 1.13 blocks per set average ranked seventh in the SEC (top among conference freshmen) and set the program’s freshman record in the rally-scoring era
  • With 14 solo blocks, she ranks second in the program’s rally-scoring era for solo blocks by a freshman
  • Stepped into a starting role after coming off the bench to post eight kills, five digs and five blocks in the win at Georgia Southern (9/10)
  • Her four solo blocks vs. Davidson (9/16) are the second-most in the program’s rally-scoring era (since 2001) and were the most by any Gamecock since 2007
  • Helped the team hold off Tennessee in five sets thanks to a season-high 10 kills and seven block assists (9/28)
  • Her 11 blocks vs. Kentucky are tied for the second-most in a four set match since 2001 (10/2)

HIGH SCHOOL/CLUB

  • Played club volleyball for head coach Mark Ethridge at Invasion 18 Black, was teammates with former Gamecock teammate Emma Lock.

  • Played in the MO-KAN All-Star match
  • In the state record book, she ranks second in career attacks (3036), third in kills in a single match (32), sixth in single-season kills/set (6.5), seventh in single-season hitting percentage (.450)
  • An All-Missouri honoree in both volleyball and track and field.
  • Played at USAV Nationals for six years with her club program (Invasion). On team that won 4 National Qualifiers, 2016, 2015, 2014 & 2013. In 2016, team was 1st place 18 Open Big D National Qualifier and 11th in 18 Open at Nationals.
  • Graduated Suma Cum Laude with a cumulative GPA of 4.18, member of National Honor Society

  • Daughter of Brett and Julie Starr
  • Father played football, basketball and track at Oregon State, mother was a gymnast for the University of Vermont. Sister Brianna played volleyball for the University of Missouri-Kansas City
  • Majoring in Exercise Science
