2014 (SENIOR): Saw time in nine matches…Averaged 1.07 kills per set…Earned first career playing time at Clemson (9/5)…Recorded first kill as a Gamecock vs. Elon (9/13)…Played in first SEC match at Arkansas (11/14) and recorded a career-high seven kills and three digs…Member of the SEC Fall Academic Honor Roll.

PRIOR TO JOINING VOLLEYBALL: Ran track for South Carolina during the 2014 season, competing in the high jump…Played volleyball at Presbyterian College from 2010-12 before coming to South Carolina.

HIGH SCHOOL/CLUB: Earned letters in volleyball and basketball in addition to track at Landrum High School in Spartanburg, S.C….Was a 15-time All-Region, six-time All-State and two-time Athlete of the Year honoree…Seven-time state champion (three in volleyball, four in track)…North/South All-Star game MVP in 2009…2010 Steve Sanders Award Co-Winner with former Gamecock football great Marcus Lattimore…Was county champion (2008-09), region champion (2006-09) and upper state champion (2006-09) in the high jump…As a member of the 4x800m relay, was region, upper state and state champion from 2008-10…Also was the 2009 800m South Carolina High School state champion…Played club volleyball for Club South Volleyball 17-1 under coach Sean Fitzgerald…2009 AAU All-American…Led team to third-place finish at nationals…Graduated with honors, was a member of the Beta Club and All-Academic.

PERSONAL: Nancy Caroline Cann is the daughter of John and Nancy Cann…Parents were both student-athletes at Presbyterian, mom, Nancy, was a basketball player, father, John, played football…Brother, Mark, played football and baseball at Marshall…Sister-in-law, Sarah, was a swimmer at Marshall…Decided to come to South Carolina because of its top broadcast journalism program and the opportunity to play in the hardest conference in collegiate athletics…Majoring in broadcast journalism.
