2017 (JUNIOR)

• Played in one match, getting a kill against Troy (8/26)

2016 (SOPHOMORE)

• Played in six matches
• Hit three kills on four swings in the team’s win over Gardner-Webb (9/17)

2015 (FRESHMAN)

• A standout student and key reserve
• Played in three matches as a freshman
• Saw first action vs. NC Central (8/29) and recorded a block assist
• Played against Wofford and had two attacks (9/19)
• Filled in to an injury-depleted lineup against Florida, and set new season bests in kills and digs in her SEC debut (10/30)

HIGH SCHOOL/CLUB

• Lettered three years at Westlake for coach Al Bennett
• Served as team captain during senior year
• Earned honorable mention All-District 14-5A
• Named to Smithson Valley All-Tournament Team
• Earned a spot on the Fraulein Fest All-Tournament Team
• Also lettered three years in track and field and three in basketball
• Team captain of the basketball team junior and senior year
• Second-team All-District basketball selection
• Played for Austin Juniors 18 Mizuno club team for coach Brandi Bradley
• Led Austin Juniors 17 to a third place showing in the National Division at USA Nationals
• Helped lead Austin Juniors 16 to a third place finish in the USA Division at USA Nationals

PERSONAL

• Jessica Marie Turner is the daughter of Rob and Lesli Turner
• Has one brother, Pierce, and one sister, Carly
• Mom played volleyball at Pepperdine
• Father played football at Eastern Michigan
• Uncle, Roman Fortin, played in the NFL for the Atlanta Falcons, Detroit Lions and San Diego Chargers
• Chose South Carolina because of the program, the campus and honors college
• Plans to major in chemistry
