Daniel Patrick

Daniel Patrick was named Associate Athletic Director, Executive Director of IT, and Chief Information Officer for Gamecock Athletics in November of 2024.

In this capacity, Patrick leads the department’s technology vision, strategy, and operations, ensuring that coaches, student-athletes, administrators, and fans benefit from robust, secure, and forward-looking digital systems.

Patrick’s role also includes collaboration with University of South Carolina and Southeastern Conference leadership, serving on the university’s Technical Review Board, Information Security Committee, UnITe leadership, and the SEC’s Technology Advisory group.

Prior to rejoining Gamecock Athletics, Daniel held leadership roles in IT at the South Carolina Department of Disabilities and Special Needs from 2022-2024, where he was responsible for the agency’s IT infrastructure, services, modernization, and governance. He served in multiple progressing IT roles for the Athletics department from 2014-2022.

A native of South Carolina, he and his wife, Caitlin, are both Gamecock alumni and have a daughter, Adeline.
