Kelsey Hounshell

Kelsey Hounshell returned to her alma mater in 2019 to serve as an assistant athletic trainer for football.

Hounshell earned a bachelor’s degree in athletic training from the University of South Carolina in 2016 and a master’s degree in kinesiology from Louisiana State University in 2018.

During her undergraduate career, she worked with the Carolina softball, track & field, men’s soccer and women’s basketball teams. While serving as a graduate assistant at LSU, she worked with the Tigers’ beach volleyball and football teams.

Hounshell’s first full-time position came as an athletic training assistant at Coastal Carolina, where she worked with the volleyball and beach volleyball teams during the 2018-19 academic year.

Originally from Raleigh, N.C., Hounshell is certified by the National Athletic Trainers Association and is a certified emergency medical responder. In addition, she is a National Academy of Sports Medicine Performance Enhancement Specialist and a Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist.
