Leah Lott

Leah Lott joined the University of South Carolina athletics department in September 2021 as the Student-Athlete Development Coordinator and was promoted to Assistant Director in July 2022.

Her primary responsibilities consist of planning and executing the Dress Like A Pro, Networking Night, and Junior Suit Program annually. Lott acts as the primary advisor for the student-athlete advisory committee (SAAC). She also serves as a liaison for Men’s Basketball, Men and Women’s Track & Field/Cross Country, Men and Women’s Tennis, Volleyball, Men’s Soccer, and Beach Volleyball.  Additionally, Lott has oversight of community service initiatives and social media.

Prior to South Carolina, Lott worked at The Ohio State University’s student-athlete support services office (SASSO) as an assistant academic advisor and assistant student-athlete engagement coordinator. She mentored at-risk student-athletes while helping develop their time-management, organization, and communication skills. In the student-athlete engagement space, she served as the co-advisor for the minority female student-athlete organization, SHEROS, and created content for SASSO’s social media accounts.

A native of Virginia Beach, Va., Lott graduated from Mississippi State University with both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Sport Administration. She worked as a graduate student intern in the office of student-athlete development where she created the eight-week long bulldogs experiential learning internship program for MSU student-athletes.

Lott was a member of MSU’s track and field team as a hurdler and long jumper. A highly decorated student-athlete, she earned numerous All-American, All-Academic, SEC Community Service Team, and SEC Honor Roll awards and is a member of the 4x100m hurdles school-record-holding relay team.
