Rebekah Parker

Rebekah Parker

Rebekah Parker serves as an Assistant Director of Compliance & Legal Services at the University of South Carolina. Her primary responsibilities include providing interpretative assistance to coaches, administrators, and student-athletes, developing and implementing rules education, and assists with Athletics Department contracts, waivers and leases. She currently serves as the compliance liaison for the equestrian team.

Prior to being named an Assistant Director of Compliance & Legal Services, Parker served as the Compliance Coordinator at the University of South Carolina. During that time, her duties included managing student-athlete employment, requests for student-athlete appearances and autographs, official and unofficial prospective student-athlete visits, as well as assisting with USC’s monitoring efforts.

From June 2017 until her arrival in Columbia, Parker served as the program coordinator for the office of academic honesty and student appeals at the University of Georgia since June 2017. During her time as the program coordinator, she was responsible for filing student academic appeals to the Educational Affairs Committee as well as assisting the director with academic honesty cases. Prior to her position in the Honesty office, Parker was a graduate assistant in the compliance office at the University of Georgia.

Parker is originally from Atlanta, Ga. She earned her bachelor’s degree at the University of South Carolina (2012) and later received her juris doctorate from the University of Georgia School of Law (2017).
