Tyler Zielenske
Tyler Zielenske is in his first season with the Gamecocks. He will assist Pete Lembo as a special teams analyst. Zielenske comes to Columbia after working for one season as a special teams analyst for the Texas State Bobcats.
The Atlanta, Ga. native arrived in San Marcos after spending the 2021 season with Pitt in a special teams/running backs graduate assistant role.
Zielenske has other coaching stops at Memphis (2020) and South Alabama (2017-19). With the Tigers, he was in a special teams quality control role. With the Jaguars, he started as a quality control assistant in 2017 before moving to a graduate assistant role in 2018 and 2019.
A former kicker, Zielenske played collegiately at Mercer from 2012 to 2016. He graduated from Mercer in 2016 with a bachelor’s degree in business administration. He also has a master’s degree (‘20) from South Alabama in educational leadership and administration.
Zielenske and his wife, Katelyn, have one son named Boe.
