With May graduation and the conclusion of the school year on the horizon, the University of South Carolina Athletics Department held its annual Senior Dessert on Monday in the Frank McGuire Club at the Colonial Center. Nearly 80 Gamecock student-athletes were presented with their senior lettermen’s rings.
South Carolina’s Executive Associate Athletics Director Kevin O’Connell, President of the USC Association of Lettermen Bill Boyte and Piedmont Triad Gamecock Club President Michael Westbrook all addressed South Carolina’s senior class.
Gamecock coaches presented rings as Director of Student-Athlete Development Collin Crick made a brief comment on each recipient, their time at Carolina and their future plans.
In addition to exhausting their eligibility during the 2006-07 school year, seniors who received rings must be graduating or on track to graduate within the coming year.
