– South Carolina head coach Ray Tanner
“We had a lot of good at bats to get some runners on but we couldn’t get anything across. (Florida starter) Kyle Mullaney did a great job pitching for the Gators. We got some good relief pitching from Curtis Johnson and Jeff Jeffords and I thought Harris Honeycutt did a good job for us today. I’m just happy that we could win today and a chance to advance to the next game.”
“If there is one thing that I have been disappointed with this season is that we haven’t been able to come from behind well. We’ve won 41 games and when we play well we seem to win, but sometimes when you don’t play well you still need to win. The guys play hard and try but we just haven’t been able to come from behind a lot. We’ve done that the past two games, so hopefully that’s a good sign.”
