COLUMBIA, S.C. — The South Carolina women’s tennis team has added South Carolina State to its schedule, Gamecock head coach Arlo Elkins announced Thursday. The Gamecocks and Bulldogs will meet in Columbia, S.C., at 2 p.m. Sunday at Maxcy Gregg Tennis Center, weather permitting. In the event of inclement weather, the match will be played indoors at the USC Field House.

The Gamecocks are off to a 4-0 start in 2007, while South Carolina State is 1-1 with a victory against Georgia State and a loss to Davidson. The Bulldogs represent South Carolina’s fourth 2006 NCAA opponent this year, with the others being East Tennessee State, Furman and Winthrop.
