The South Carolina men’s golf team is ranked No. 16 in the most recent Golf Stat rankings.

The Gamecocks have a 270-18 Division I record and their schedule strength is listed at No. 12. Golf Stat measures head-to-head standings to rank teams.

In addition to South Carolina, five other Southeastern Conference teams appear on the Golf Stat list, including No. 1 Georgia, No. 3 Florida, No. 19 Tennessee, No. 21 Kentucky and No. 23 Alabama.

In its last event, Carolina turned in its best performance of the spring, placing in a tie for second at the Hootie at Bulls Bay Intercollegiate.

The Garnet and Black return to the links this weekend. On April 8-9, South Carolina will compete in the Arizona State University Thunderbird Invitational in Tempe, Ariz., at Karsten Golf Club. The field includes No. 9 UNLV, No. 10 Arizona State and No. 22 Texas Tech.
