Former University of South Carolina golfer Brett Quigley finished in the top-five at the PGA TOUR’S Verizon Heritage, played at Harbour Town on Hilton Head Island, S.C., over the weekend Quigley placed in a tie for fifth, just four strokes back of tournament winner Aaron Baddeley.

Quigley turned in his best round of the tournament Sunday, carding a 67. He finished with a total score of 68-70-68-67=273 to claim his best finish since a pair of ties for fifth at the Sony Open at the Cialis Wstern Open in 2005. The former Gamecock All-American (Honorable Mention, 1991) has a pair of top 25 finishes in 2006. He has ended the year in the top 100 four times in the last five years. Quigley played for head coach Steve Liebler and graduated from USC in 1991.
