COLUMBIA, S.C. –
Gamecock nation will be present in Baton Rouge, La. this weekend as the South Carolina softball team, in addition to the baseball team, will take on the LSU Tigers. USC will face the No. 11/12 Tigers in a three-game series at Tiger Park beginning with a doubleheader on Saturday, April 1 at 2 p.m. (ET). Sunday’s game three will be televised live on FOX SportsNet South at 2 p.m. (ET). FSN is Channel 31 on Time Warner Cable in Columbia.

The Gamecocks are hoping to snap a two-game losing streak and are looking for their first SEC series win of the season. Last year, South Carolina took the series from the Tigers 2-1 in Columbia. LSU leads the overall series 17-10 and in Baton Rouge, the Gamecocks are 3-7. USC’s last win at LSU came in 2004, a nine-inning 6-4 victory.

South Carolina enters the weekend 22-14 and 2-7 in the SEC, while LSU is 32-5 and 7-2 in the conference. LSU is second in the SEC West while the Gamecocks are fourth in the East. Against ranked teams, the Garnet and Black is 2-5 so far this year.
